Our mission

Our Mission

The right not to be hungry......

To develop diverse alternatives to counter the impoverishment process
and poverty in the Aylmer sector community.

By our different activities, we work with the most vulnerable people on the economic and social plan in our community. We want, by our intervention, to encourage dignity, respect and social justice.

Need for food: The people we reach live with food insecurity. They do not have the necessary financial resources to satisfy all their nourishment needs.

Need for socialising : The people we reach are isolated and have a very limited communications network. Visiting the community cafeteria allows the person to break away from isolation and to socialise.

Need for community implication : Many people voluntarily implicate themselves in the organisation. This implication stimulates the initiative, creativity, the feeling of belonging and social worth for people that are generally inactive, closed-up and without personal value.

The activities offered by the organisation allow for many to exchange with others and accomplish collectively. The activities stimulate independence, creativity and team spirit in a person. The organisation is represented in a variety of committees and works in collaboration with many local and regional role-players. Taking charge of their needs is optimized because of the partnership with the other organisations in the surrounding area.

Since 1988, we have been working closely with the community to accompany individuals living with difficulties by offering different opportunities so that each person can eat healthy nutritious meals, not worry about running out of food, but most importantly that they regain the power over their lives and actively implicate themselves for a positive changein their situation.

The Center runs mainly with a team of volunteers. If you have 2 hours or more a week to give, we invite you to communicate with :
